Caramel Apple Bliss Dip
One thing I love about this season is all the fall flavors. We’ve switched gears from watermelon, fresh summer salads and putting burgers on the grill. Now I look forward to Pumpkin Spice Latte’s, Apple and Pear Crisps, or adding cinnamon and nutmeg to meals for that extra fall flavor.
I love to bring yummy treats to Bunco night or making my kitchen island look ready for the season with an array of fall treats and decorations when I have a girls’ night in.
One of my favorite fall treats to make is this Caramel Apple Bliss Dip. I was given this recipe from an old friend of mine and make it a few times in the season. It’s easy, quick and sure to be loved by all. It’s also perfect to bring as a dessert for the holidays.
I use a 9 inch pie plate. It makes a pretty presentation and fits the ingredients perfectly. This dip is especially good served with Granny Smith apples and a good quality Caramel Dip. Including the pumpkin spice will add that cozy fall note to your dip.
Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) bricks cream cheese (softened)
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ teaspoon pumpkin spice (optional)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (13.5 ounce) container of caramel apple dip (I like to use Marzetti’s)
2 (4.25 ounce) Symphony Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate, Almond & Toffee Bar
8 Granny Smith Apples
Directions:
Mix the softened cream cheese, vanilla, pumpkin spice and powdered sugar together until smooth and well combined. Refrigerate for half an hour.
Spread the caramel dip evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Unwrap and put the symphony bars in a gallon sized ziplock bag. Crush them into small pieces with a small kitchen mallet, then sprinkle the crushed chocolate generously over the entire dip.
Refrigerate until you are ready to serve. Cut the Granny Smith apples into wedges and serve alongside the dip.
I hope you love this recipe as much as I do. It’s one of those simple fall treats that disappears quickly whenever I make it!
