How We Talk To Ourselves Matters
There comes a point in life when we begin to realize just how powerful the words we say to ourselves can be.
For years, many of us have been good at encouraging everyone else. We’ve reassured our children, supported our husbands, cheered on our friends and reminded the people we love that they are strong, capable, and worthy.
But seriously, how often do we offer those same words to ourselves.
Sometimes without even realizing it, our inner voice becomes filled with things like I’m to old to start that now. I should have done this years ago. No one want’s to hear from me. I’m not good enough. What if I fail?
What if we started replacing those thoughts with something different?
My life has purpose. I have something valuable to offer. It’s not to late. I can begin again. God is still writing my story.
The Words We Repeat Matter
Positive affirmations aren’t about pretending everything is perfect. They’re about becoming more intentional about the thoughts we allow to take root.
For me, faith is an important part of that.
Some of the most reassuring words we can speak over ourselves are reminders of what God has already told us: that we are wonderfully made, that He is with us, that we don’t have to live in fear, and that He still has a purpose for our lives.
When we begin our day with truth instead of worry, it can change the way we walk into everything that follows.
A little something I have made for you. 🌸
I created a set of 30 Late Bloomer Affirmation Cards as a little encouragement for this season of life.
There are positive affirmations for confidence, new beginnings, letting go , finding joy, and learning to believe in yourself again. I’ve also included Scripture-based affirmations to remind us where our true strength and hope come from.
Print them. Cut them out. Put one beside your bed, on your bathroom mirror, in your Bible, on your refrigerator, or anywhere you’ll see it throughout the day. You could even choose one each morning and let it become your thought for the day. Maybe pass one along to a friend who could use a little encouragement too.
Because sometimes we all need is a reminder:
It’s never too late to Bloom.
Keep Blooming, Keep Believing, Keep Trusting.
