AUTUMN FOR THE SOUL

Finding Beauty in Every Season

Week 1: The Beauty of a New Season

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

Have you ever noticed how trees don’t struggle when it’s time to let their leaves go? They don’t cling to summer. They don’t compare themselves to evergreens. They simply become exactly what they were created to be in that season.

As women, we often do the opposite. We look back at our younger years and wonder if our best days are behind us. We question whether our purpose has quietly slipped away with the passing years.

Yet autumn tells a different story.

The trees are now more breathtaking. The brilliant reds, golden yellows, and fiery oranges appear only because the season has changed. What looked like an ending was actually a different kind of beauty.

I wonder if that’s true for us too.

Perhaps God isn’t asking us to hold tightly to who we used to be.

The years you’ve spent loving your family, serving others, working hard, grieving losses, celebrating victories, and walking with God have not diminished your beauty, they’ve deepened it.

You are not past your season. You are in a new one, and God is just as present here as He was in every season before. Maybe even more so.

This autumn, instead of wishing for yesterday, ask God to open your eyes to today’s beauty. Because every season with Him is a season worth embracing.

PRAYER

Father,

Thank you that you’re the God of every season. Help me release what You are asking me to let go of, and give courage to embrace what You are growing in me today. Remind me that my purpose has not ended-it is simply unfolding in new ways. Help me trust You with this beautiful season of becoming.

Amen.

Reflection

  • What season of life are you in right now?

  • What is one thing God may be asking you to release?

  • What new thing might He be growing in your heart?

Late Bloomer Affirmation

I embrace this season with hope. God is still growing beautiful things in me.
