Summer Hairstyles

summer hairstyle

My hair has reached its waist length — after two years — again and I’ve been itching for a summer haircut since late last year because of the humid weather. I missed having bangs and I really want to have it again so at least I could look like my daughter, in terms of hairstyle that is. I can cut a toddler’s hair just so you know but it’s so hard to do it on my own hair. What’s more frustrating? I do not know where to have my hair cut. I’ve been to the cheapest (Php50) to the most expensive (Php500) stylist I can afford but I never get the hairstyle that I want to have, even if I have so many hair to spare to achieve the hairstyle that I want.

The worst experience I had was this salon in Eastwood City. I have  several photos with me of the hairstyle that I want, after a very quick hair cut by a snob junior stylist, my hair did look great — but awful by the next day — because I didn’t use a hair dryer to style my hair.  I hate it so much that I went to another salon  to have it cut again, still not even close to the photo of the hairstyle I have with me.

Anyway, I will be cutting my long hair in time for the summer. So it’s either the short bob of Emily Browning or Michelle William’s pixie cut. The shortest hairstyle I had was a layered bob cut. I’m not sure if I can pull off a pixie hair cut but it looks kind of cute on Michelle. DK wanted the pixie cut on me while I wanted the short bob because it has bangs.

I’m crossing my fingers that I can find a decent stylist this time and I’ll ask for his/her opinion on which hair style will suit my facial structure the most. I think I can handle to pay for an expensive hair stylist, as long as it’s not more that Php1000. Any recommendations?

if i had fine straight hair i would’ve rocked the pixie cut even before i fell in love with Carey Mulligan’s cute hair. but fate is harsh on my hair. so i can’t have pixie (not unless i have my hair rebonded, which i am not planning on anytime soon) :(
